The TSL is composed of basically the tops players worldwide. Including good koreans, to the like of MC, Nestea and fruitdealer. Idra, QXC and other's are players to look out for. As of today, there has been 8 matches that have taken place, which means 8 more matches to come, (Havn't checked, but should be this saturday and sunday!
NASL!
Currently North America is giving South korea a run for it's money, comparing it to the SC2 scene over there. The NASL (North American Star League) is coming shortly, in the next few months, and has a first season prize pool of 100k. This will be a league and not just a tournament. This is good news for most players as it wil lead to more exciting games as the players will be able to actually practice specifically for their matchup each week.
IGN League!
Just annouced, I believe yesterday, IGN.com is creating a huge SC2 league. The prize pool for season one is supposed to be 150k. WOAH! This means that the total prize pool to be won, just from the leagues, is matching or better than that of South Korea's Starcraft 2's GSL league. This is very big for North America and is really putting us on the map and showing that this E-Sport can compete and be a legit advertising options for corporations.
I will say I am a bit put off by the fact that two huge leagues are opening up. To me this could possibly mean that the NASL and IGN league could clash, player base wise, and one league will be considered the top league as I don't feel both leagues will be able to get the same players. (This is because between tournaments, MLG and leagues, the players will be pressed for time and will have to pick and choose which events to participate in.
